Two spectators remain hospitalized following a serious incident during the opening practice session of the Isle of Man TT, organizers confirmed Tuesday.
The incident occurred Monday at Parliament Square and involved one competitor along with eight spectators. Officials quickly issued a red flag during the first practice session to stop the event while emergency crews responded to the scene.
According to event organizers, the competitor involved in the crash was conscious and speaking after suffering leg injuries. All eight spectators also remained conscious and were transported to Noble’s Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
By Tuesday, officials confirmed that the rider and six spectators had been discharged from the hospital. However, two spectators were still receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.
Organizers have not yet released detailed information regarding exactly how the incident unfolded, but they described the situation as unusual. As a precautionary measure, Parliament Square will remain prohibited for the remainder of the 2026 Isle of Man TT event.
